10 year old loves it!
After saving up his money for this, my son has been playing this more consistently than any other Wii game and he is amazed that old Mom knows the songs! Next up is Rock Band when it comes out so we can all participate!

I can't believe it took me this long to try this game
I played this game for the FIRST TIME a week ago at a friends house. I was thinking this was just a fancy simon says game.

Well I was blown away. It hooks you in with it's easy controls ! And the game is so much fun, even if you stink, you will still enjoy it.

I bought the game right after and have been playing non-stop. Controls are great, song choices are great, it's just a lot of fun.

But I never took anyone elses word for it, I had to try it to be hooked.

So trust me, go and TRY THIS GAME!

Guitar Hero III - Wii
This is a sweet game. We took it down to my sister-in-law's place and stayed up until 2:15 playing it. We introduced it to her and her husband and now they are hooked. We saw them last weekend and they made us GH3 CD's and gave them to us as a gift. I can't wait until GH4 comes out.

Rocks So Hard It May Hurt Itself!!
I've never played the previous games in this series but this game is addictive! The Wii remote is easy to tuck into the guitar and the tutorial is pretty easy. Instead of strings you have a bar you push corresponding to how fast the notes move. I've never strummed guitar, my husband has. And I'm thrashing him at this game!

You work you're way up from a garage band, earning money along the way that you can spend in the games store for goodies like new outfits, real songs from around the world, and extra characters.Your current playlist is good with songs everybody knows even if their a poptart. You may even get asked to do an encore! My one gripe is their aren't that many chick songs, at least not on the levels I've played.

If you can find a second guitar remote you can rock head to head, which I plan to do with the spouse. I'll need to find a pink faceplate though. The makers said they'd have alternate fronts, so here's hoping. The guitar/remote is about the size of a eukalalie but still manages to make you feel very boss and you'll suddenly find yourself moving with attitude to the rhythm.

Stop reading and go play one!!

Some flaws, but overall a great game
I come to Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii having played Guitar Hero 2 on the PS2 at Expert difficulty. Sometimes formula can be a bad thing, other times it's not. This is one of those "not" times.

The game plays basically the same as its predecessor, and on top of that it's got a better set list. After reaching 5-star level on nearly all the songs at Expert difficulty in Guitar Hero 2, I found that the list of songs that I actually just enjoyed playing was very short. That's not so much the case with Guitar Hero 3, which has a larger collection of songs that are both fun to play and to listen to.

There are flaws, though. It seems to me that the new developers decided that they needed to tweak the Hammer On/Pull Off controls a little, and the result of this tweaking was that there were many times throughout the game where I instinctively didn't strum because two notes were close together, but one of the notes inexplicably required you to strum. Although this increases the difficulty, it feels awkward and forced (you could, after all, just do away with HOPOs altogether rather than making them unworkable at seemingly random times).

I'm not a big fan of the boss battles, either. The battle mode seems a good idea for balancing multiplayer Guitar Hero, because Guitar Hero 2 suffered significantly from the fact that an Expert player could hardly help beating anyone playing on Medium in the Face-off mode, at least not without putting down the guitar, which isn't exactly fun. However, the battle mode really has no place in the single-player career mode, where all I'm looking to do is play some songs.

It doesn't help that the boss battles are not very well executed. The final boss battle had me stuck for quite some time, simply because the battle power-ups that I was getting weren't very useful against the opponent. When I finally got the right power-up, defeating him was trivially easy. That means the battle was far too dependent on randomness, which isn't really fun in a game that's good precisely because it depends completely on skill.

Add on top of this the fact that, for no obvious reason, the songs that you play in the boss battles can't be accessed away from those battles. That means there's no way to just play these songs. You've always got to be worried about defeating an opponent who's messing up your ability to play. Along the same lines, certain songs are only unlockable by playing multiplayer mode. I wouldn't call that a good idea in any case, but it's especially annoying on the Wii version, because there currently is no guitar available for separate purchase, which means you must find someone else who owns both a Wii and Guitar Hero 3, and most people I know who have the game have it for PS2 or XBox 360.

The game is still lots of fun even with these flaws. There are some good new features to balance things out, such as the ability to play the game online (though again it seems that more often than not when I go looking for an online game, there aren't any available). I think I like the Wii guitar controller better than the PS2 controllers for Guitar Hero 2, in part because they seem more responsive. A number of times when using the PS2 controller and strumming very rapidly while attempting to deploy Star Power, I have had the controller frustratingly not register my movement despite holding the controller vertically. I haven't noticed such problems on the Wii.

As far as difficulty goes, if you played Guitar Hero 2 on Expert, then it won't take you long to get through Guitar Hero 3 on Expert, either. Some of the songs are still difficult (and some will cramp your hand), but because the gameplay mechanics are the same (and that is a good thing), if you're good at Guitar Hero you're good at Guitar Hero. You won't have too much trouble with the vast majority of the songs in the game.

All in all, if you liked Guitar Hero 2, you'll probably like Guitar Hero 3. If you didn't, why are you reading this?

For me a spectacular introduction to the series
I'm someone who had never played Guitar Hero 1 or 2 before I bought Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii. I can't really compare it previous versions of the game, nor can I compare it to the other systems' versions of Guitar Hero 3. What I can do is give a viewpoint to what this game is like to someone just playing this series for the first time.

The sound is a big part of what this game is about, and obviously I'm talking about the sound track in large part. Of the incredibly varied list of songs, over 70 in all, I enjoyed most of them. There are a few songs in the bonus track listing that I don't even both to play because the music just isn't good, but overall still far more hits than misses. As a first time Guitar Hero player a big thumbs up for the soundtrack, though there's certainly room to improve in future versions.

Now on to the gameplay. There is certainly a substatial learning curve for new players. Obviously you start with easy mode, which isn't bad as begininer song. Then on medium where three four chords are used, and hard where five are used. The practice mode is very helpful, and if you want to get good you'll have to spend a lot of time there. I haven't even gottent to expert and I've had the game for a few months. It's very much an experience that's very fun and challenging, no matter what your skill level. The controls are perfectly responsive, obeviously important for the harder difficulties.

In the end I can't get enough of this game. The Wii wireless guitar works great, with the sound coming out of the Guitar and a rumble feature on star power (things apparently not available in other versions of the game. It's powered by the Wiimote inside the guitar shell, but doesn't use battery life as fast as you might fear. As a first time Guitar Hero player I have to give this my highest recomendation. Minor issues aside (not that impressive of visuals and some crappy songs) it's a great experience.

girls just love this game
if your child loves Hannah Montana they will love this game...Hannah travels around to concerts and you get to act out all her moves. you also get to dress her and buy stuff. The only downside is that until you master all the moves you can't go on to another location and song so you may hear the same song (ie Best of Both Worlds) over and over and over!!!!

My DDs (7 & 4) love this game. It seemed very easy to beat to me, but even after doing the entire world tour they still want to play it every day.

Hannah Montana
Wow, what fun! The girls loves this. It's not only Hannah Montana, but there's exercise involved and the girls don't even realize it. With all the moving and dancing, it's great!

Perfect for young girls.
I got this Wii game with the hope that my 4 year old daughter would find enjoyment. We have one of the princess Wii games, and her favorite part of the game is dressing up the princess in different clothes.

I hit the jackpot. I helped her out the first time or two with understanding the 'dance' moves - you get blue (right) or pink (left) icons that indicate a move (point right arm up, point left hand to the side), and as the icon rolls across a certain point, you move the Wii-mote or nunchuck in that way. If you get it just right, you get credit. The timing is important, you don't want to be too early or too late. You do your concert and get rated on a 5-star scale as to how perfect you hit the moves, and you earn shopping credits. Then you get to shop and get more pieces to dress Hannah in.

You can also style her hair, too.

It is absolutely perfect for my 4 year old, who had practically never heard of Hannah Montana before this. She is learning the songs, beginning to sing to them as she does the 'dance' movements, and she's getting a lot of activity with all the extra jumps she's putting into the movement. It's exactly the game that I hoped it would be.

The object of the game is basically to preform concerts and shop.I know but if you are a busy pop star you will have little time for anything else!

You earn money and fans by doing things like keeping up with the dance steps and posing at the correct time at your photo shoots.The sound and grapics on this game are really nice by wii standards and the tutorials are very clear and easy to follow.

You can also change clothes and hair styles and the more money you make the more things you will have to choose from.

I definately reccomend this game for what it is.An upbeat,friendly,easy to play game that I am sure any Hannah fan will love.

FUN! you can only dance, no singing
I bought this game with my christmas money. I thought that it was gonna be singing and dancing. But it was just dancing. Which is fun. The world tour section only took me two days to complete. but all the fun you can have with it after totally makes up. You can play two player. Or one player. One of my favorite parts is making the fashions!!! you can also go shopping, sign autographs, and go to photo shoots!! The moves in the dance section are a teeny bit hard to get at first. And if you put some extra energy into it it is an awesome, and fun, exercise! All the songs are hannah montana so if you don't like her songs, don't buy it. I LOVE the game and would recommend it to anyone who likes, hannah montana, dancing, and all around fun!!!

One of the best
This game has to be one of the best games, I have ever played in my entire gaming life. The plot of the story is dramatic, suspensefull, and actually gorgeous. I played the game for about 24 hours, it is not like the game is suppose to be that long, but it is because of the fact that there are many things to exploit from the environment such as the way the people interact, the cities, the graphic, oh God everything is just beautifull and many other details that no one would actually expect from a video game. By the way the best of all, the main character (Altair) is mostly able to interact with every little platform throughout the game.
This game is crazy, the fighting mode, the control,and what else can I say, it is worth buying, trust me, you will have no cognitive dissonance about this purchase. Anyways, I haven't touch my PS3 for like five days, just waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4

Next-Gen Graphics, Last-Gen Gameplay
Okay. Some of you will love this game and others will absolutely hate it. I fall somewhere in between. This game reminds me heavily of Ubisoft's earlier Splinter Cell series on XBox 1. Unfortunately, Assassin's Creed has more in common with the first Splinter Cell than the much improved Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

SPOILER ALERT!

Assassin's Creed has a really chaotic and messy story line. The game opens with my Assassin killing an innocent man. I promptly get chewed out by my two assassin friends for ignoring the "Assassin's Creed." My character responds that he does not like the rules and knows how to do the job better. My companions lecture me further about how Assassins are really good guys that just happen to kill to achieve peace. All of this sounds like a bizare Disney movie opening about the dangers of pride gone bad. Then the game forces me into a confrontation that I know I should not be in. My character has to enter a brightly lit room and take out 5 armed guys who are already facing my direction. I know already this is a situation that my character should not be in and I am reluctant to move into such an obvious trap. I'm an assassin. I should be hiding in the shadows looking to kill in a stealthy manner. I realized this bad situation is to have my assassin fail horribly and set up my character's fall from grace.
After many a few characters are supposedly killed, but turn out to be alive, the story moves on. I get another lecture about how the Assassins are really good guys just trying to make the world a better place. Is this game about a group of medieval boy scouts or a group of people who kill other people? Does Ubisoft know what an assassin is?
As you can tell, I hate the story. It's poorly written crap.

END OF SPOILERS

This game opens with a disclaimer about this game being written by a multi-cultural group of people with various religious backgrounds. Basically, Ubisoft openly admits this game is controversial. I believe this is also why the main game is sandwiched by sci-fi elements. The main game would be just as good without the sci-fi stuff. If the events of the game are simply a computerized simulation, then there is less reason to fuss over the controversy about a game set in the Holy Land. I do applaud the attempt to cover a somewhat taboo subject of looking at the Crusades from an alternate viewpoint. Anyone who plays this game needs to understand that your primary enemy in this game are the Knights Templar (a Catholic order). Some people may be outraged by this fact. By no means do I condone the open killing of any person or targeting of any religious group.

The game mechanics are a little touchy. They are decidely last-gen and lack the depth of other open world games. For example, moving any faster than a slow trot on a horse means every guard in the area tries to take me out. Did I miss the medieval speed limit signs? Guards seem to notice me walking around even if I don't do anything illegal. This frustrated me to no end. Then I realized I'm wearing a uniform! That's right, an assassin's uniform! How cheesy! Look at the rest of the guys in the assassin's village. They are all wearing the same white hood! Why would an assassin, who wants to remain anonymous, ever wear a stupid uniform?
The gameplay is very repetitive. Pickpocket, eavesdrop and beat info out of people. It's like shampoo instructions. (Lather, rinse, repeat.) Only a small portion of the game is actually about killing people. Perhaps, this appeals to people since you know what to expect.

Okay... On to good things.
The graphics are pretty. My assassin moves in a very fluid way. He climbs buildings like Spider-Man. The world of Assassin's Creed feels real. You wander through a living, breathing land.

My advice is this. If you were a fan of Ubisoft's earlier Splinter Cell games, then you will probably love this game. The rest of us should rent this game or play GTA IV.

This game is everything you could want
This is an amazing video game. The graphics are superb. The gameplay is fascinating, and it is more adult-oriented because it involves actual history. You learn more about the Templar Knights among other things. It has excellent artifical intelligence, and it is not too easy but not too difficult. I enjoy that there is such a large variety of things for Altair to do. He can ride horseback and explore areas at leisure, since the game is not completely linear. He can kill in a variety of methods, and there are many bonuses which make you want to continue playing. I have played this game for 5 or 6 hours straight without becoming bored.

This is the only PS3 game so far other than Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, that I would completely recommend buying to start your PS3 game collection. It will not disappoint you, and it is for people of all ages and as an adult I can tell you it is very suitable for any age!

Great game!

Great Video Game and one of my favorites
I finished this game yesterday and let me give you my opinions and suggestions. First is, buy it if you are a true fan of adventure-treasure kind of games. Rent it first, and you will see like me that you love the game, but it is a one-time once in a while kind of game. Meaning: It's like a good movie.

The game is great, I like the story, there are scary parts, and some parts where you will try a few times before you are able to keep going. How hard is it? Not that much if you keep trying. If you keep track of what people say or follow up your main targets, then you will know where to go. Otherwise, you will be lost.

My most interesting poing about the game is that it had a scene that scared me the most and it was very well done. A little spoiler? The scene will happen when you are next to your enemy, and you actually have to fight with him against someone or something. Anyways, about the treasure, can't tell you because the treasure could be so many things, but I tell you now, is somehow gold related.

Now one of the things I like the most about this game, is the scenery, and how the adventure keeps going and going. The storyline is simple. Drake will follow his ancestor's guide or journal to get to El DORADO, a never found treasure. Drake goes to the Amazon South America, between Brazil and Peru, and goes through jungle, rivers, islands and the andes. The most interesting fact about this game is that it is historically accurate and the treasures you find exist in real life. Also, in gameplay you get to drive cars, waterbikes, jump across buildings, swing like Tarzan, use 8 different shooting weapons and grenades. You also use the hide and shoot technique used in Gears of War. Relating to health, you do not need to get something to replenish your health, you only need 10 seconds of free attacks to recover if you are badly injured, mostly, if you get shot 5 times in a row. Sometimes the L2 button will appear in the screen letting you know that if you press it, you will be able to see a hint. Of course in just 1 scene there are a significant amount of ways you could follow, so that is helpful.

The game has very realistic backgrounds and sounds. This game becomes a 10 to 15 minute third person shooter and does not let go until you kill everyone. You can dodge, jump and hang on to every ledge you see. Also, you have to be quick using your handgun. When you run out of ammo, the only way to find more, is by taking ammo from people you kill. Finally, some cons for me: length and characters. Maybe just four or five more hours of gameplay and this would have been game of the year. Some of the characters are laughable, voices are good, dialogue is pretty decent. I would have hoped for some bosses once in a while, like a soldier that differs from the others, uses a knife or a chainsaw or something, and gives Drake a real beating.

That's my opinion, 9.2 kind of game.

Most action-filled ps3 game!
This game gets pretty amazing, and the further you go, the more you just want to keep playing. I loved this game so much that I started playing through it again directly after beating it. It's full of action and multiple different gameplay elements. Great game and definitely worth a buy for all ps3 owners.

I am a big pokemon fan and,
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time Was one of the best games I've played. In fact, as much as I love it, it's better than Super Smash Brothers Brawl in my opinion. It does have a interesting story line, during the main story and the after. I've completed the game, and yet I can't stop even though there's not THAT much to do. I suggest this game to any Pokemon fan that enjoyed the last Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. It would still be good even if they haven't played the previous one that was terrific as well. It is totally worth the money, and will have you want to play it 24/7 as it did for me. It is also challenging but not too hard. Which makes great games. If you're not sure to buy this game or not, keep in mind this review and remember how much I liked it to give it a big 5 out of 5 star. If you have this game, you might know what I'm talking about right now. It has many twists and turns that make the game even more fun during the main story. If you played the last one, you may know that the ending was a little sad. This is one of the sad endings too, but will have you happy at the beginning of the after story. It is also interesting because it is sorted out into chapters like a book. This game isn't too long, but it's not short. This is my review of the terrific game that was made April 20th.

too much reading
My son, 7, really wanted the new Pokemon game. So he used his birthday money and purchased it. Unfortunately, ever since he's gotten it, he's been very frustrated with the amount of reading there is to play the game. Unless your child is a strong reader be prepared to play with them! Maybe better suited for older children.

Son says it's "the best Pokemon game ever!"
I am definitely not the Pokemon fan in our house, but all the little boys are. We pre-ordered this & received it mid-week last week (thank you, Amazon). Everything else was immediately forgotten, because "my new game is here!"
He has played it quite a bit in the last week, and says it's the best Pokemon game yet. I can't give specifics, but it's definitely a 5-star rating from our household.

Better than the average Wheel
A big part of the reason I got Mario Kart Wii was to use the included Wheel. I gave it a shot and spent some time with it. And in the end I was fairly happy with it. An important disclaimer is that the Wheel is just a piece of plastic that allows you to hold the remote like a steering wheel; nothing more, nothing less. If you're buying it for use with Wii Kart, make sure you or whoever is going to use the wheel has spent some time with the one included with the game so that you know if it's something worth forking $10-15 for.

There has been debate on whether the Wheel is good or not. Whether the Wheel makes it easier to drive in Wii Kart depends on the individual's gaming experience and preference. Most people who have played past Mario Karts tend to prefer the normal/classic/gamecube control while many non-gamers tend to prefer the Wheel. There's really no way to tell until you try it for yourself so it's a good thing Nintendo includes a Wheel with the game.

Now there are 3rd party wheels available so what makes the first party version better? There are a number of advantages to Nintendo's Wheel. The biggest advantage is probably the addition of a button for pressing the B (trigger) button. This gives you a more accessible button to use in games that use wheel-style controls and more importantly helps those who drift a lot in Wii Kart since the B button is now easy to use. The remote is placed slightly above center of the wheel; when holding the wheel with one hand on each side, the buttons are situated closer to the natural resting position of the thumbs which makes them easier to access compared to wheels with the remote situated directly in the center of the wheel. The Wii Wheel uses rubber pads to hold the remote in place which reduces wear and tear on the remote from putting in and removing from the Wheel. There's a hole on the back which not only allows you to snake the strap through it but allows you to easily push out the remote to remove it from the wheel. The only disadvantage I can think of for the Wii Wheel is that because it's more well-built compared to 3rd party wheels, it's slightly heavier than them. The difference is very negligible IMO. Overall if you're going for a wheel for any Wii driving game, this is the one to get.

P.S.: A couple of important tips on using the wheel (applies to Wii Kart; YMMV with other games). 1st, make sure you hold it at an angle; at least 20 degrees from horizontal or hold it like you'd hold a car wheel. 2nd, don't turn past 90 degrees. Holding it flat or turning past 90 degrees will cause the cart to go in directions you don't want to go. Other than that, you can pretty much hold it however you want regardless of distance and direction you're facing.

Waste
Dont waste your money, you will just end up using the nunchuck, or a classic controler in the end, and more over dont waste your money on the new Mario Cart, just keep, or get one of the older ones, its just recycled maps with new controls that aren't that good anyways.

Loads of fun.
I purchased Mario Cart which came with the Wii Whell. I went home and played it with some friends. We all took turns switching between the wheel and the Wiimote Nunchuk combo while playing. Everyone loved it so much I went out later that day and bought three more.

It is a little hard getting used to it. It doesn't feel completely nature with the wheel just dangling out in limbo, but after you get the hang of it, it is great. My wife took a picture of us playing we all looked like we were 12 again playing Super Nintendo Mario Cart. Except we were having way more fun.

As comfortable as it is functional

The Wii Remote is equally comfortable in right and left hands and houses just the right number of buttons for gaming- not so many that new players will get confused, but enough so that Wii games don't feel constrained. On the face of the remote are the D (or "plus") pad, a large "A" button which is used for major on-screen actions, and two small options buttons. Between the game buttons are a plus and minus buttons (which often act as "forwards" and "back"), as well as a "Home" button to engage the Wii home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like "B" button, perfect for timing releases of a bowling roll in Wii Sports.

Players enter the game as a lowly galley slave with no memory of his/her past, and over the first five to 20 levels of singleplayer action build the skills necessary to survive in the game's multiplayer levels. During this time you will traverse a variety of rich environments including jungles, deserts, mountains, valleys, dungeons and cities packed with NPCs, beasts and monsters, before eventually leveling up and moving back to your chosen culture's homeland. Because the only character-related choices that players have to make at the game's opening are their looks, clothing and culture, this singleplayer mode is important in deciding what class and subclass to pursue and thus the level of impact your character will have in greater multiplayer portions of the game.

In-game levels 20 and above are strictly multiplayer. 20-40 introduce players to guilds. 40-60 deal with large scale combat. 60-80 have the player interacting with King Conan and levels 80 and up represent end-game play. Here gameplay changes as social aspects of MMORPG gameplay take over on a large scale.

Real-time Combat That Takes Queues from the FPS
Traditionally MMORPGs have utilized a mix of auto and turn-based functionality in their combat systems, but Age of Conan dispenses with that, instead drawing inspiration from FPS/action games. Firmly rooted in the brutality of the Hyborian universe, game developer Funcom has devised an action-based system that not only provides the sense of actually being in the fight, but also requires the player to participate in it. That means no simple targeted attacks. Players can attack and defend from nearly any position in real-time, whether on the ground or atop a mount, while standing still or on the move. It's a recipe for carnage and one that fits right into the world of Conan.

The combat system in Age of Conan comes in three forms: drunken brawling, mini games like CTF and massive Player vs. Player battles, which lets you engage in siege combat to defend or attack a city. All are easy to learn, but difficult to master, providing hours worth of play and replay value and are the core of this new cutting edge MMORPG.

Sony's PlayStation 3 games are encoded onto the Blu-Ray disc media format, which can hold six times as much data as traditional DVDs. This increase in capacity, combined with the awesome power of its processor and graphics card, promises mind-blowing games once developers have learned how to fully harness the new console's power. The PS3 will also support CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats.

In addition, PlayStation 3 system software update version 2.20 and up includes BD Live support. With this you can now play discs that support Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 (BD-LIVE) and you can also connect to the Internet while playing discs that support this format so that you can obtain additional features. Sensational Controller
New gamers intuitively move the controller while playing, even though that movement has traditionally had no relation to what's going on in the game. Sony has picked up on this tendency and is using it to bring a new level of control to the PS3. Sony has stated that the PS3 will have similar online connectivity and services as the next generation of Xbox Live. Calling it "an always on, always connected device," SCEI's chief technical officer Masa Chatani said the PS3 would be constantly in touch with a "PlayStation World" network "fundamentally based on community, communication commerce, and content." Technically, the infrastructure is there to make that connection. The PS3 supports 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T Ethernet, as well as IEEE 802.11 b/g wireless networking protocols.

We all love our PS3
We currently own an XBOX 360 and Wii and really only purchased
the Playstation 3 for the Blu-Ray DVD player. However, once we
got it set up and found out what else it could do (besides video
games) we were hooked. The graphics are amazing and the on-screen
controls and navigation are very intuitive. Actually, we find
that it is just so much easier to use than either of the other
2 consoles. Also, the built-in wireless is much better at finding
our WLAN than either of the other 2 boxes.
The only downside so far is that there are fewer video game titles
that interest us but hopefully there will be a better selection on
the market soon.

I've been wanting to buy PS3 for a long time, i guess i was holding back because of the High def. format war to end. As soon as HD-DVD was out, i evaluated WII and PS3 and went ahead and bought this version to try it out. Its been great, no issues so far. I bought Call of Duty and a couple of BDs and the experience has just been awesome.

I also bought a Sony HD handycam SR-11 and it integrates with PS3 really well.

The Truth about the Console Wars
Last Fall when I could not afford a PS3 for me and my son, we purchased a XBOX360. We bought it because you could start small (Arcade version) and slowly add-on to your system. After a while though, we kept looking at the PS3 and its growing library of T rated games. When GameStop had their buy 2 get one free sale, we traded the 360 and accessories and got 8 games and a controller for the PS3. And a couple weeks later got the system for our birthdays (we were both born in the same month). What we learned about the two systems may help those of you trying to make a choice for your family.

Exclusive Games - PS3 wins for Teens and families, 360 wins for M-rated games
While we really enjoyed the 360, we constatly found ourselves looking at the T rated games on the PS3. Uncharted, Lair, Warhawk, Motorstorm, and Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction are all exclusive to the PS3. Most of the games we really enjoyed on the 360 (Call of Duty 4, Frontlines, Star Wars Lego) are also available on the PS3. If you look at the exclusives, PS3 has the best selection of games that are not adult-only fare. The best 360 exclusives are: Gears of War (M), Bioshock (M), and Halo (M). There are others for both systems, but these are the ones that get the most attention.

Final note on exclusives: The PS3 is going to be going head to head with the 360 on these M rated exclusives also with Devil May Cry and the release of Killzone 2, and Resistance 2 within the next year.

The Power of the System Hardware - PS3 dominates
Having played both, I can truly say that the graphics on the PS3 are superior. I don't know the processor speeds and all that, I just know that I have played Call of Duty 4 (1080p) on both systems and the PS3 is better.

Also, the fact that everyone knows is the presence of the Blu-Ray disk player. This thing is awesome to watch movies on. The disks are too expensive right now, but will probably come down as they replace traditional DVDs. The HD DVD format (the one the 360 supported through additional hardware) is all but dead.
